Thank you for visiting!
I hope you enjoy browsing the pages, watching the videos, and reading about me and my work. With the help of designers at Juice, we have recently updated the site to include my newest children’s book, Empathy Magic: Insides Out (2013, co-authored with Marian Brickner, photographer). I am excited to help both children and adults increase awareness about the importance of empathy in building strong relationships and in resolving problems like bullying and social alienation.
I have also specialized in helping people through the creative process. In Standing at Water's Edge: Moving Past Fear, Blocks, and Pitfalls to Discover the Power of Creative Immersion (2008, New World Library) I focus on the emotional aspects of artistic and creative endeavors. This book shows how, with the help of certain kinds of relationships-- "mirrors, heroes, and twins"-- artists and other creatives are able to start and sustain their creative work to finish their greatest projects.
I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. If you are interested in scheduling a consultation, therapy, or presentation, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
All my best,
